How To Easily Create a Gig on Fiverr?
If you want to learn how to make money on Fiverr without skills then you have to learn to create attractive gigs first.
If you’ve read the previous paragraphs, you must have noticed I have talked about gigs various times. Now, it’s time to create your own gigs on Fiverr!
Let’s learn how you can easily create your own gigs so that you don’t have to search again after reading this article.
I’m assuming that since you are reading this far, you’ve already created an account on Fiverr and completed your basic seller profile. If you haven’t I’ll request you to do that first.
Now let’s start. Remember, gigs are the main things that employers will first see to decide whether you are a good fit for the job or not. So, to get clients, you need to create gigs that attract clients.
Think of yourself as the client or the buyer. What will you want from your workers to accomplish a task or a project? Thinking this way will help you create the perfect gigs. Below are the steps to create a gig easily:
Step #1: After you are done creating your profile, log in, and on your homepage click ‘Selling’ and then ‘Gigs’. If you are creating it for the first time then you need to complete your seller profile first.
Step #2: Next click on “Create a new gig” found at the top right corner.
Step #3: Create your gig title, select the gig category and search tags.
The gig title is actually a short description of the service you are offering. You will only get 80 characters to write this so make it count.
If you don’t have any idea then you can get ideas from other sellers in a similar category. Make it simple and don’t try to overthink.
Next, select your category. Make sure you select the appropriate category because it can’t be changed after the gig is published.
After you select your category, you will have the option to choose a sub-category that is most appropriate for your service.
Search tags are also very important for your gigs’ ranking. Buyers will search with the keywords and this is what you should put in your search tags.
Step #4: After that, you need to set your gig pricing. This can be quite complicated if you are a beginner.
But don’t worry you can look for other sellers’ pricing and get some ideas from them. As you gain more experience, you’ll get used to setting accurate pricing very easily.
You also can offer up to three different packages by selecting the “Offer Packages” option. These packages are Basic, Standard, and Premium.
You don’t have to use all three of these but you can use those if you want to offer additional services for some extra cost.
You can also add some extra services like extra fast delivery, additional revisions, etc for extra cost as well.
Step #5: Next comes the gig description and FAQ part. Your gig description is the second most important thing after your gig title. So, put some time and thoughts while writing your gig description.
Most of the new sellers write their gig descriptions hastily. You should absolutely avoid doing this. Buyers DO read the descriptions before buying.
I previously told you to think of yourself as the buyer. If you were the buyer would you consider buying a service from a person who doesn’t want to or describes little about what or how they will provide their services?
No, right? So, always try to provide a good description of your service.
I’d recommend browsing through gigs of top sellers in your category and following their description writing pattern. Try to list your services in your description and highlight them by bolding or clicking the highlight button.
This way your buyers will always look at the services at first. They will definitely read that, and it will increase your chance to get selected by the buyer and selling your service.
Since you get only 1200 words to write your gig description you can add some Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) to answer some of the common questions and answers your buyers might have.
Step #6: Next is adding the requirements part. This is required for you to understand what is the exact service your buyer wants from you.
You can simply add some questions and get the answers from your buyers with free text, multiple answers, or an attached file.
Make sure to tell your buyers to communicate properly so that you can prevent misunderstandings while providing the service your buyer wants.
Step #7: Adding your gig images, and videos. This is also important for getting buyers. I always recommend putting your best photos that apply to the gig here.
You can simply take a simple picture of yourself and edit it with Canva or other editing software to write the service you will provide on the picture. This will actually help to earn the trust of your buyers.
Or you can use any portfolio pictures you have as well. If you don’t have anything just use some free stock images.
But having a photo or video of yourself explaining the service you want to provide will always have more conversions.
Step #8: Finally, when you are done with everything click the publish button, and congratulations you created your first gig! As soon as you publish your gig, it will go live and buyers can then find your gig to get the services they want.
Now you know the basics of creating a gig. You may be wondering now what service should you provide, right?
Now let’s continue to learn how to make money on Fiverr without skills. I’ll try to explain some lower-skill gigs or gigs that require no skills to earn on Fiverr.
So, without further ado let’s start with that.
9 Easy Gigs That Will Help You To Make Money on Fiverr Without Skills
Here are the top easy Fiverr jobs or gigs I have gathered that will help to make money on Fiverr without skills:
1. Website, and App Testing
Companies and developers are always looking for people to test their newly created websites or application software. You can create a gig offering this service to test new websites or application software to provide your feedback to the buyers.
You will typically be given instructions on how to test the website or start using the apps so you don’t need to have any specific skills for this.
2. Beta Reading
Another great way to make money on Fiverr without skills is beta reading. If you like to read then this can be a great way to earn. Beta reading is simply reading a book for a person or a company.
When a person or company finishes writing a book and want it to be reviewed first before publishing then they hire sellers from marketplaces to accomplish this job. You can simply read a book and get paid with this gig and it requires no skills to do so.
3. Subtitling Videos, Transcribing Audio or Podcasts
If you have good listening abilities and you can type while listening to a video, audio, or podcast then this gig can be a great way to make money on Fiverr without skills. You simply have to listen to a video or audio and write accordingly.
You can also use AI to help you do this! YouTube and Facebook also generate subtitles when you upload a video, you don’t need to publish to do this as well.
But remember to do reading and editing before submitting it to your client. You also can use free services like oTranscribe.
4. Background Removal
Previously these gigs were a bit harder to do. People needed to have Photoshop or other photo editing software skills to remove the background of images.
But nowadays it has become very easy. There are a lot of tools and websites that do this free for you so you don’t have to have any skills to offer this kind of gig.
Removebg is a website that does the job very easily. Or you can use Canva as well.
5. Designing with Canva
You may be wondering how does this require no skill? But trust me, Canva is a great tool to easily create designs like Ebook covers, Instagram posts, YouTube thumbnails, etc for your buyers.
Just search ‘Canva’ on Fiverr and see how many sellers are earning with this technique. In Canva you get already prepared templates ready for you, you just have to edit them to match your buyer’s preferences, and you are done!
Here is an article about using Canva to sell on Etsy!
6. Virtual Assistants
With the rapid growth of online work, companies and executives are trying to learn how to hire virtual assistants. This gig idea is currently high in demand right now. Luckily, you don’t need to be a skilled person to be a virtual assistant.
For this work, buyers typically look for someone to handle their office admin duties like making appointments, answering emails and phone calls, arranging travel for someone, etc. And the fun part is you have to do all of this from the comfort of your home!
7. Downloading Videos
This can be a great way to make money on Fiverr without skills. Sometimes people want to have a saved copy of an online video from YouTube, Vimeo, Daily Motion, or other video sites.
But they don’t have the time, technology, or knowledge to do so. So, they come to marketplaces to hire people to do it for them. Luckily this work doesn’t require any skills.
There are plenty of free tools that can be used to complete this task. You can simply use these tools and provide the downloaded video to your buyers.
8. Writing Comments, Reviews, and Shoutouts
Sometimes businesses or people need comments and reviews for their service, brand, products, pages, etc. You don’t need to have skills to do this kind of task.
You just have to know how to effectively leave a good review or comment. Sometimes buyers want shoutouts from sellers.
Even if you don’t have enough social media followers, you can create a gig like this to provide comments or shoutouts services.
You can search on Fiverr and see for yourself how many sellers are earning this way. If they can, you can too!
9. Data Entry
For data entry type gigs, you just have to have a computer and programs such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. All you need is the ability to type. Buyers will provide you with information and data and ask you to organize the data.
This is such a simple task that requires no skills. But this can be quite tiresome and boring sometimes. But still, this is a handy way to make money on Fiverr without skills.
